Escott and party. - Plaintiff applied that defendants might be ordered to alter the head of their present race from the Lowburn Creek. ' Mr F. J. Wilson appeared for portion of the defendants. It apeared that plaintiff had failed to discover the names of the whole party owning the race—which is known as the Westmoreland! and that the Corporation of Cromwell, while owning a share, had not been summoned. M* Wilson did not appear for the Corporation. Defendant* having now been put in possession, of the names of the whole of the owners of the race, Was allowed to withdraw the present summons, on payment of 21s costs, with the view of summoning the whole of the defendants. APPLICATIONS. Protection.— T. Williamson and another, 00 days for claim in Bailtey's gully: granted. —Ah Ping and another, 30 days for claim in Smith's gully: granted.—G, W. i dodger and five others, 90 days for claim on Prowls flat,—cause, wish* ing to prospect:' granted for 30 days for four men's ground. Ixtlmded Claims,--]. Johnston and another, two acres in Bailey's gully; granted.—John Pryde and another, two acres in Bailey's gully l granted.—David Stewart and another, two acres in I -alley's gully i granted.— Smith M'Leiman and another, two acres in Bailey's gully: granted, —W. M'Namara and another, two acres, at head of Adams's'gully $ objected to by Josiah Green, on the ground that he already held a certificate for a claim and race on the ground applied for, and adjourned for a week, With a view to a settlement being come to. Tail Bace.—T!. Williamson and 'another, from claim in Bailey's gully ; this application had been objected to on previous Court-day by Robertson and another, but a settlement had since been come to, and objections were now withdrawn, and the application was granted.—J. Williams and three others, from claim in Pipeclay : objeotion by M'Coll and Muir on previous Courtday now withdrawn, and application granted on conditions agreed to by both parties.—Thomas Robertson and two others, from claim in Bailey's gully : objections by Williamson and another withdrawn, and permission granted, as applied for, to extend tail-race.-John Menzies and three others, from claim in Bailey's gully i objection by Robertson and others withdrawn, and application granted.— W. M 'DJamara and another, from claim at head of Adams's gully: adjourned, as was the case with extended claim application, for arrangement With Green and party.—j. T. H. Brown, from claim in Bailey's gully: granted. Water Race.— Joseph L. Moore, Bahnockburn: granted. Dam.—3. L. Moore, on Doctor's flat: granted. Kesidende Arm —.Tames Scott, one acre on West side of Kawarau Gorge : adjourned for presence of applicant.
