Tuesday, 9.9 a.ra. Mr Creighton, who recently resigned the position of editor of the Guardian ,' and who proceeds to Wellington as editor of the New Zealand Times, was presented on Friday with a handsome graphoscope by a number of the members of the Guardian staff. At a meeting of the Heart of Oak shareholders, the resolution passed at a late meeting in Cromwell was confirmed. At the session of the Grand Lodge of Good Templars, held in Christchurch on the 'lst resolutions were carried establishing District Lodges in Otago, Southland, Westland, Marlborough, and Nelson.
