Quite an astonishing number of buildings j have recently been erected, or ai*e now in} course of erection, in Cromwell. Opposite the post-office, higher up the street,-there is quite a collection of houses, where three months ago there was not one. Then there is the schoolhouse, now completed and occupied, a very neat and creditable erection. The new Athenoaum building, the construction of which was interrupted by the frost, is now being pushed on with; and the Church of England is abo under way. The school, the Athenreum, and the church are all of stone, and when the last two arc also completed, they will be a credit to the town. Me33i'a I. Hallenatoin and Co. are to proceed
