B ENDI 0,0. Luoknow Co.—-Mr Colclough reports that there is no change to note jn jthe character of the work. The alleged discovery of, a vein', supposed to he the reef,' some thirty feet back in the tunnel, is'with out foundation in truth 1 , as also that the manager contemplated doing any work towards, testing ,i the discovery. Some shareholders visited the mine conse- . quent upon the report, and have the. assurance of the manager, Mr, Cross, that the report is not correct. '.Cromwell Co.—The Cromwell Company cleaned up a parcel of 54 tons yesterday, wilh nTesultof 256 ounces, being at the rate of, four ounces to the ton. As reported likely last week, the water in the creek has failed, and' the mill will consequently be at a standstill for a time; it is to.be hoped only a short time. j .Reliance Co.—There is nothing fresh to report from the Reliance Company. They are sinking on the shaft.
