Gentlemen, —We beg to inform you that we have completed audit of Corporation accounts to 2nd instant, and have found same correct. The item £9 for dog taxes appears to us very small, and might be considerably augmented. Before concluding our report, we have much pleasure in testifying to the very satisfactory manner in which the books of the Corporation have been kept during the last half-year, and should strongly recommend to your Council that the salary of the Town Clerk should be the same as that of previous ones, viz., £35 per .annum.
