For the Maiden Plate, Faugh-a-ballagh, a Master Rowe colt, started favomite, but he bolted, and the race was won by Let her Rip. The Palmerston Handicap, 50 sovs., was won by Maid of the Mill, Lectin? Novice and Verbena by half a neck. Faugh-a-ballagb made amends for bis previous performances by winning the Settlers’ Purse. The only other race worth mention was the Shag Valley ('up, won by Medora.
