MINING- LEASES REGULATIONS. Province of Otago, New Zealand.

Cromwell, 29th Sept., 1873. To the Warden at Cromwell. Sin, —I have paid to the District Surveyor the sum required for the survey of the following Gold Mining Lease application, as-required by the Mining Leases Regulations of Otago, and I agree upon the approval of this application, to execute a lease upon the bases therein stated, if the Governor or his Delegate shall think fit to grant the same.—l have the honour to be, Sir, your obedient servant, D. MaoKELLAR. Name and address in full of applicant.—l). MacKellar, Cromwell. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business.—The Premier Mining Company, Extent of laud applied for.—Ten acres. Minimum number of men to be employed by the lessee.—For the first three months, two men; subsequently, when in full work, five men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested.— £IOOO. Proposed mode of working the land. - Sluicing and tunnelling. Precise locality.- Between Smith’s Gully and Doctor’s Flat, Bannockburn. Term for which lease is required.—ls years. Time of commencing operations.—After application is granted. The above application and any objection thereto will be heard before me at Cromwell, on 28th November, 1873. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above application must, within 58 clear days from the date of such application, enter his objection at my office. W.
