Friday, October IT. (Before W. Lawrence Simpson, Esq., Warden.) APPLICATIONS. Extended Claims. —-Ah How and four others, and Ah Chow and four others’ applications for five acres each at Moonlight creek were again adjourned till 24th inst. Tail Races —Ah Chow and four others’ application for tail-race from extended claim in Moonlight creek w&s also adjourned till 24th inst. Water Faces. —The Garrick Water Company’s application to extend their water race was refused, there bring objections by J. L. Moore and others ; the Warden sugggesting that Smith’s gullv should he applied for by the company as a main tail-race.—Ah How and four others, four sluice-heads from Moonlight creek : adjourned till 24th inst.—A. M'Lean, four sluice-heads from upper running streams at Lindis : refused, Warden having no power to grant applications for coal-mining purposes. Dams. —Mr Hedlund’s application for dam at Slaughter-yard flat was adjourned, Warden to visit the ground.
