CORPORATION OF CROMWELL. An extraordinary vacancy having ocourred in the office of Mayor of the Municipality of Cromwell, in consequence of the resignation of MiMichael Fraer, NOMINATIONS of persons willing to fill the said office for the remainder of the municipal year will be received by the Town Clerk at the Council Chamber on or before FRIDAY, the 17th day of October, 1873, at the hour of 12 o'clock noon. In the event of there being more than one candidate, a POLL will take place on WEDNESDAY, the 22nd day of October, 1873, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the following places:— For Bridge Ward, the Council Chamber, For Kawarau Ward, Mr Hazlett's (late Mr Wright's) building. For Macandrew Ward, the Court House. An extraordinary vacancy having also occurred in the office of Auditor, by the resignation of Charles Colclough, Nominations of Candidates for that office will be received at same time and place. In the event of more than one Nomination, the Polling will take place on same day and at same places as for the Mayoral election. CHAS. COLCLOUGH, Town Clerk.
