Tuesday, 9 a.m. The Sarah "White, an Qtagc-owned whaling vessel, returned to the Bluff yesterday, havuig killed six fish, two of them, however, having been lost. The rumoured appointment of Provincial Immigration Agents last week appears to have been untrue. In consequence of the defeat of the Provincial Loan Bills in the Legislative Council, the Ministry convened a caucus on the 29th. A resolution proposed by Macandrew was carried, to the effect that the session be brought to a close as speedily as possible, and that during recess the Government carefully prepare Bills to put the relations between the two Houses on a more satisfactory footing. The prorogation is expected to take place on Thursday. His Honor the Superintendent is a passenger by the Alhambra due to-morrow.
