Envy, Hatred, Malvina, and Awatea were scratched. A protest (which will bo decided to-day) was lodged against Slander, on the ground that, being the winner of an event of £IOO durum the years 1871 and 1872, siie ought to have carried dibs, extra, as the conditions of the race required.
