REEFING REPORT.
The Nil Desperandum Company's Mil which was started yesterday week, is now i full.work and giving thorough satisfactid | The tables shewed very favourably aft „ crushing for a week, and the opinion of pe sons " who ought to know" is that the yiej will exceed an ounce per ton. The steading of the machinery was favourably noticed, an the consumption of fuel is said not to excee six tons per week for about 60 tons crushini Mr P. H. M'Ardell has received the appoin' ment of manager of works. The Nil Con pany have about 400 tons of stone ready f ( crushing. An accident to one of the cams at th Elizabeth Co.'b caused a ces ao *' r '" - work for a day or two during the past week but the necessary repairs having been prompt! undertaken, the mill is most probably now i full operation. Mr Robert Reid has bee engaged by the Company to take charge r the battery. The working manager repori that the mine is looking very well, and tha the portion of the reef now being worke, averages two feet in width.
The new battery erected by Mr Logan ( the Robert Burns Company's claim is all bi ready to begin work, and will most likely 1 set in motion before the end of this wee: The first crushing will be one of about 1( tons from the John Bull claim.
