MEETING OF COMMITTEE. An adjourned meeting of the Committee Management took place in the Town-hall 10a.m. on Wednesday, the 2nd inst. Me& Preshaw (president), Jolly, Dagg, Marsh, a Colclough were present. The following nominations for the Cro; well Derby (to be run on the 26th Decern! next) were read and received : Mr Webb's filly by Traducer, out of Mi King's dam. Mr Webb's filly by Malton, out of Spray. Mr Eraser's roan nlly, Flora, by Roebuck. Mr Driver's chestnut filly by Tom King, g of Gallopede. Mr Douglas'chestnut colt, Dragon, by Ravei worth, out of Ladybird. Mr E. Pritchard's bay lilly, Master Row Daughter, by Master Rowe. Mr Taggart's filly, Lady Antrim. Mr M'Kay's chestnut colt, Port Philip Bucl
Mr J. Miller's filly, Miss Deceiver. The Secretary was instructed to adverts the Derby nominations in the Ceomwej Akgus and Daily Times.
Accounts from Mr Marsh and the Cro: weu, Argus, amounting respectively to J 2s. Gel. and .£'B 10s. Gd., were presented ai passed for payment.
It was resolved that the next meeting the Committee should be held on Thursd olsc inst., when the principal business will arranging the programme for the Midsunm Races.
On a suggestion by Mr Dagg, the Secrets was directed to write to the various Jodo Clubs in this Province and Canterbury, as ing them to forward to this Club reports their several race meetings,—the Crorawi Club undertaking to reciprocate. On the motion of Mr Marsh,.seconded 1 Mr Kidd, the President, Yice-Presidei hon. Treasurer, and Messrs Dagg and Cmva were constituted a sub-committee to drawi a set of rules for the use of the Club. MEETING OF STEWARDS. The Stewards of the Spring Races held meeting immediately after the adjoumnw of the Committee : present —Messrs Preshs Marsh, Dagg. and Kidd. The irregularity which occurred in eonne tion with the Selling Ibice was discussed considerable length : and it was ultimate agreed, on the motion of Mr Marsh, second by Mr Kidd,' —That the matter be refern (with Mr Hazlett's concurrence) to Mr H.J Thomson to decide ; ami in the event of \ Hazlett not agreeing t<> this propositi, and pr t'erring arbitration, that Mr Thomson bet quested to act on behalf of the Club. 3 Hazlett to nominate his own arbitrator."
