REEFING REPORT.

The Elizabeth Company, sines finishing the very satisfactory trial of the Colleen IS iwn stone, have been crushing continuously, and ■will clean-up during the current week. The mining manager reports having succeeded in piercing the wet shaft ; and as soon as he shall have reached the level of the tunnel drive, he will have that portion of the mine in proper working order.

The machinery for the Ncl Desperandum Company is now on the ground, and the work of erection will be completed in a law weeks. The mine is now being vigorously worked by a full number of hands, and it is exnected that on completion of machinery a very large quantity of stone will be in readiness. The Colclough Company met on Monday to decide as to future movements. Twenty per cent, has been offered by tributers, —a fact which speak?, volumes for the opinion entertained regarding the mine.

Star of the East.—This Company have an immense quantity of stone in view, and judging from the appearance of the tables, (they are crushing at present), a handsome return of gold may be expected. Royal Standard. —This company's battery is at present engaged on some eighty tons of quartz from the Ca'edonian claim ; and aftc* this is finished, they will most likely proceed to crush a parcel from their own mine. College Bawn.—lt is reported that this company purpose having another crushing shortly ; and the present appearance of the stone justifies the expectation that the jdeld will not be much under 2 ozs. to the ton. Cromwell Company.—The shaft is down some 220 ft., and at that depth about 24 ft. has been driven towards the lower end of the lease, —the reef averaging 2 ft. 10 in. thick. Prospects from this part of the mine indicate a probable yield of 2 ozs. per ton. Towards the upper end of the ground thev have driven 10 ft., and find the reef gradually becoming richer : the stone in this drive is estimated to turn out from | oz. to f oz. to the ton. Golden Link.—This company's shaft has reached a depth of 210 ft., where the reef is 2 ft. wide: The stone is expected to yield about 1| oz.'to the ton.

Aurora.—The tributers have cleaned no this week, with a return of 29 ozs. 2 dwia. 0 grs. of gold,—equivalent to about 16 dwts. per ton.
