Sir, —We have paid to the District Surveyor the sum required for the survey of the following <Jold Mining Lease Application, as required by the Mining Leases Regulations of Otago; and we ngree, if our application (the particulars of which are hereunder set forth) be investigated, that such sum shall in all respects be held subject to the terms of such Regulations; and that upon approval of this application we will execute a Lease upon the bases therein stated, if the Governor or his delegate shall think fit to grant the same.—We have the honour to be, Sir, your obedient servants, /THOMAS HALL.
