CROMWELL TOWN COUNCIL.

I. * An adjourned meeting of this Council was held n the Sth inst. Present : The Mayor, Crs. raer, Marsh, Dawkins, and Brown. ;-j It was resolved that Cr. Fraer be appointed Acting Town Clerk in the absence of Mr SmvBhies. J

An account from Mr Smythies was passed for foyment. Cr. Marsh was appointed a member of the fabhc Works Committee, in place of Cr. Shanly, •esigned. J A vote of thanks was accorded to the Mayor «K his services at the Mayoral Conference in Uunedin. It was proposed by Cr.
