DUNEDIN, Tuesday, 9 a.m. Mr James Smith, of Melbourne, editor of tho Australasian, and a gentleman of high literary attainments, delivered an able lecture on Spiritualism on Sunday evening, in the Masonic Hall, to a large audience. Haselmayer gave his first entertainment on Saturday night. The Masonic Hall was crowded, and hundreds of people were unable to gain admittance. Thursday, the 9th of May, by General Government proclamation, has been appointed a day of thanksgiving for the recovery of the Prince of Wales. The crushing of the Moanataiari Company (Thames) for the week ending 20th inst., resulted in a yield of 1009 ounces of gold.
