—0 From a musical buvletta recently published by Mr Frank Hutchinson, Wagga Wagga, a contemporary makes the following extract referring to the stolen or strayed mother's darling, now twenty odd stone :—Mr Dibbs, solicitor, and discoverer of the Electric Bartap and Lost Child, loquitur : —Perusing carefully a borrowed "Tisvr, a small alvertisement just caught my eye, sir :—" Ten thousand pounds reward" the notice ran ; enough, 1 cried, Buraka ! I'm your nun! 1 cut it out —behold the precious prize ; the golden letters dance before my eyes ; hear it ye Gods! It Old Nick hasn't got him, I'll eat my hat but I'll contrive to spot him. (Reads): " Lost, stol'n or strayed from Tichborne Hall, in Hants, a baronet in dojskin pants—said to be drowned, but those who knew him state the youth was never b >rn to meet that fate. Drinks like a fish ; once 'listed as a soger ; takes snuff, and answers to the name of Itoger ; stands five feet something in his stocking feet; if this advertisement his eye should meet, his wife and kids (if any) let him smother, and come back to his brokenhearted mother. N.B."—Ha ! here's the point—Ha !Ha ! you're fly—very, old bird, but, scissors, so am I !—" If any sharp attorney spot the stupid, he can go whacks with this child, Arthur Cupid." Humph ! can he ? Whacks with him ! That's as it may be ; I'll have no whasks—d'ye ye take mo for a baby I Ten thous in 1 pounds if 1 don't touch, its funny—l'd make a baronet for half the money.
