Jones and another, (40 yards long,) from a claim in Pipeclay : granted. Protection. —Robert Edgar and five others, GO days for a quartz claim on Carrick Range : granted.—The application of R. Edgar and live otliers for cancellation of a protection certificate was not dealt with, owing to non-appearance of applicants. Residence Areas. —Stadcs S. Graver, one acre in Graver's Gully, 500 yards west of Ferry Hotel, Bannockburn. —Charles Seymour, 75 yards south of Gains' garden, Quartz Reef Point: granted. The same applicants were also granted certificates for two j sluice-heads from each of eight streams crossing the proposed course of their race. Mining Lease. —James Hazlett and seven others', sixteen and a half acres at Pipeclay, Car--1 rick Range : granted, aud certificate issued. Agricultural Lease. —The adjourned application of John M'Lean, for GlO acres on Morven Hills Station, was again adjourned for the decision of the Provincial Executive, —the Warden j declining to refuse the certificate applied for.
