Laws Relating to Newspapears.
j The law, as it stands, relating to newspapers and subscribers, is briefly as follows : 1. Subscribers who do not give express j notice to the contrary are considered wishing j to continue their subscription. 2. If subscribers order the discontinu nice of their periodicals, the publishers may continue to send them until all arrears are paid. 3. If subscribers negle jt or refuse to tvko their periodicals from the olliee or place to ■ which they are directed, they are held re- | sponsible until they have settled their bills, and ordered them discontinued. 4. If subscribers move to other places without informing the publishers, and the . | papers arc sent to the former direction, they ! are responsible. • j 5. The courts have decided that refusing . | to take periodicals from the office, or rouiov- ■: ing and leaving them uncalled for, is prima \ facie evidence of intentional fraud. . j G. Any person who receives a newspaper i i and makes use of it, whether lie has ordered ; I it or not, is held in Jaw to be a subscriber.
