" Heather Jock" has taken First and Second Prizes as a colt, one, two, and three years old in Victoria. Sire Keformer, who gained the Highland Society's First Prize at Perth in 1552, as a yearling ; in 1856, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmers' Society's F.nt Prize, beaming Clyde (Mr J. Wilson's) and four other imported sires ; in 1857, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmers' Society's First Prize, beating Clyde and twenty-five others; at the same meeting won the Champion Cup, valued £3O, as the most perfect animal exhibited. He ha 3 also taken a large number of Local Prizes, j>nd his stock have been successful as'prize-takers. Dam. Flora, got by the renowned horse Prince Charlie (imported by Messrs M'fntosh, Glenroy), out of a pure bred V. D. L. mare, bred by Mr R. Q. Kermode, Mona Vale. Flora took first prize at Whittlesea two years in succession ; first at Kilmore, aud second at Heidelberg, in 1861.
