{Before Vincent Pi/ke, Esq., Judge and Warden.) The following were inadvertently omitted from the list of applications published in our issue of the 3rd instant :
Protection. —'.J. M'Laughlan and five others, 60 days, for claim No. 1 north of Border Chief. —Ellis D. Thomas, and live others, 60 days, for a prospecting quartz claim at Upper Bendigo Gully. Morgan Rhys, 30 days, for alluvial claim in'-Pipeclay Gully.—All granted.
Thursday, October 12. The undermentioned applications were heard and granted : Extended Claim's. —Edward Barnard and two othors, two acres in Pipeclay Gully.—J. Scott and another, two acres adjoining All Nations Company, Smith's Gully. Damn. —-Charles Perriain and two others, on south-east hank of Kawarau River, and 50 yards south-east of Long Gully. Residence Area --John Wrightson, a. quarter acre at Carricktnwn.
Water /?«ce- —Joseph Tj. Moore, one sluioehead from a mile north of Shingly Gully, Garrick Range. ■ Protection. —-"Robert Brydon and five others, 60 days, .tprartz- claim adjoining Star of the East (east side), —the Black Horse claim,—to test the reef. This application had hsen adjourned from September '2 lst, to allow the then objectors— Kidd and party and Moore and party—to institute a judicial suit against the applicants.
Alex. .Mackenzie ami live others, 60days, No. 1 north of the Royal Standaid ; to test reef. Felix 'Healey and four others, quartz claim No. 1 cast of Lioyal Standard ; to test reef. George'Joriour, legal manager of the Royal Standard' Company, was granted (conditionally on ronewnlof miners' rights) 00 days' protection for their claim, on account of inclemency of the weather.
BT.ACK fionsfi QUARTZ CLAIM. Daniel Moore anil another v. It. Brydon and five others.—This- was a complaint .against tiie defendants for having encroached upon and taken possession of a claim adjoining tTie Star of the Mast, Carrick Range. Mr Moore conducted his own case, and Mr Wilson was present on behalf of Mr Fowler, the other plaintiff. Mt BrougU appeared for the defendants. The evidence of the plaintiffs and of one witness (F.
