Generel Dombrowsky, the renowned leader of the Parisian army of insurrection, is described as a little, uuimposing man, with a common face, thin, light hair, and wearing gold spectacles. He resembles a German student more than a general. General Ciu seret, to whom the organization of tho Commune was duo in a great measure, is described by the Now York V/o.ild as follows : —" In appearance Cluseret is rather above the middle height, of erect, muscular build, and very soldierly appearance. His com plexion is swarthy, with knit eyebrows and a squareness of the lower jaw that imparts t-o his features an expression of stern determination."
