THURSDAY, 6th JULY. The Speaker took the chair at two o'clock. PETITION' OF RESIDENTS AT CRCMWELL. Mr Hickey moved, and M) Shepherd seconded, “That the petition of the inhabitants of Gromwell, relative to commonage, ho referred to the Goldfields Administration Committee,” Carried. COURT-HOUSE AND GAOL AT CLYDE OK C.UKMWELL. Mr Mervyn brought up the following interim report of the Select Committee on the Administration of the Goldfields “ Your Committee having carefully considered the various pciiuous in reference to the establishment of a Courthouse and Gaol at either Clyde or Cromwell, ura of opinion that in tho event of a Conn-house or Gaol being erected in the Unnslau district, it should ho erected at Cromwell, as the coiurn of tho Northern Goldfields." THE ESTIMATES. • The House then went into Committee of Supply.
