'1 he debt was admitted, and a verdict was given for amount claimed, with 255. costs. Halliday v. Wilson,— Claim, £2 12s. James Muir was brought up by Sergeant Caasels, charged with criminally assaulting Helen Primate, daughter of Thomas Primate, a boatman residing at Lake Wauaka. The prisoner was remanded till Friday, when he was a"a in brought up. The parents of the girl, also° Dr Corse, gave evidence; and the. hearing of the case was further adjourned till the 14th inst., for the production of another witness.’ Sergeant tassels prosecuted, and Mr Brough.was counsel for the prisoner.
