A believer in the astuteness of tllie Maori (Mr 0. K, Wilson, M.P.) told the following story in support of his belief m the House of the other night (states the Dominion'). A Maori paid a cheque for £25 to a man who subsequently lost it. The loser sent a telegram to the Maori asking him< to stop the cheque.
