THE GREAT McEWEN.

So much has already been said and heard of the "Great McEwen Company," the big novelty attraction to be seen at the Oddfellows' Hall on Monday and Tuesday, November 24 and 25, that it will doubtless attract the largest audiences in the history of local theatricals. It is seldom that a magician, mind-reader or hypnotist has »o many distinct qualities as the "Great McEwen.'' His performances are charming, real, clever, and the situation in which he places his subjects are an innovation; there is a spirit of comedy of the effervescent type that keeps on bubbling and sparkling as long as the show lasts. The entertainments presented by the "Great McEwen" and his company of special artists, including Mr Will Bolton (Scotch artistic dancer, who comes from the Princess Theatre, Glasgow), are entirely different from anything ever seen here—entirely new, novel and interesting experiments in hypnotism and mind-reading, a mixture of merriment tempered with a spirit of refinement that can amuse without giving offence. Popular prices are being charged, and it is safe to say that the "Great McEwen" will be welcomed here with a packed house. The "Great McEwen" will present his entertainment in Wilson's Hall, Kaitangata, for positively one night only, on Wednesday, November 26.
