I [Special to (Jlutlia Leader.] From Our Special Correspondent. WELLINGTON QUIET* A PARADE THAT FA [LED. WELLINGTON, Thursday, 7,5 p.m. Early this afternoon special constables were, mobilised'in strong force in Post Office square. The entrances to the square were guarded, and foot and mounted special and regular constables were held in reserve. This was in consequence of persistent statements that the strikers, annoyed at being prevented from meeting in the square, intended to march down in procession with their women and children. The procession was planned to come off at two o'clock, but did not, and a subsequent meeting of strikers in the Skating Kink was quite uneventful, the strikers afterwards dispersing quietly. The mounted men's return to barracks \vas not marked by any dinorder.

DUNEDIN, November 20. The Moeraki lias finished her discharge with very little incident, and the Arbitrationists have been transferred to the Corimia, which is now to be the scene of operations. The only scene to-day was an attack 011 a lorry full of bags of manure, a couple of tons being thrown 011 to the road before the police came up with a rush. One man was arrested, and the incident fizzled out. The manure was then loaded on to the lorry and carted away. Mr Belcher arrives home to-night.
