BOARD OF CONSERVATORS FOR INCH CLUTHA RIVER DISTRICT.
A meeting of the above board was held vi the Drill-shed, Inch Olutha, on Satuiv day afternoon.' There were presorit : Messrs Mosley (Chairman), Anderson, Macdonald, and Smaill. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed.
A letter was read from J. Hyde Harris, Solicitor, Dunedin, in reference to the claim of Messrs Hunter and Rutley, contractors for contracts No. 5 and 6a River Embankment,
The Clerk was instructed to inform Mr Harris that the Board could not recognise the claim.
The account of John Bell for contracts No. 3 and 4>, No. 3a and 4a, was then considered.
It was resolved to adhere to the Inspector's report, as to the amount of work done.
An account was received from the Ota^o Daily Times Co., for advertising, but there being an error in same, the Glerk was instructed to return it for correction. The following accounts were passed for 'payment:— William Kelly, Inspector's salary, L2l Os 6d ; Hunter and Rutley, progress payment, contract, No. lb, L 25, Tlie meeting tlien adjourned.
