Only a few of tlie members of the Brigade put in an appearance ; but the fire, which had originated on the floor of tho milliners' room above the warehouse, was promptly got under." " Early this morning Mr Dunning discovered that the upper part of Thomson, Strang, and Co.'s building was on fire, and he at once sounded the alarm from the tower station.
