The Kaitangata District Road Board publicly notify their intention to make at their next meeting on Wednesday, the 31st day of July, 1878, a highway rate of One Shilling in the Pound on all rateable property within the jurisdiction of the Board in accordance with section 40 of the Rating Act, 1876. Tbe highway rate, to be made for the period commencing on the 31st day of July, 1878, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1879, and shall become payable on the 27th August, 1878, in one instalment. The rate-book can be inspected by all ratepayers at the house of the undersigned. Dated at Wangaloa this 14th day of July, 1878.
