Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the Clutha County Council will be held in the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, Balclutha, on Friday, 28th instant, immediately after the. ordinary meeting, to confirm resolutions altering the boundaries of Ridings, 'and the representation thereof, and also bye-laws regulating Slaughterhouses, adopted at a special meeting held on the 31st day of May last past. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Clutha County Council at their next meeting, to be holdon on the 28th inst. , to make a rate of One Shilling in the Pound for the period ending 31st March, 1879, and that the same will be payable on the 31st day of July, 1878. Notice is also given that the rate-book may be inspected at the County Clerk's Office, Balclutha, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., every Tuesday and Fri- ■ day, up to the 27th inst.
