CALENDAR FOR JUNE.

Kitchen G-arden. —Store up manures, composts, and turfs, to rot into mould. Dig, ride, or trench all vacant parts of the garden. Sow early peas, beans, and radish —in heat cucumbers and melons. Plant out cauliflower, cabbage, rhubarb, sea kale, horse radish, and all pot. herbs. Blanch sea kale, rhubarb, and endive. Remove all dead leaves from strawberry beds *, manure, and dig between the rows. Keep young crops of onions free from weeds, and keep the ground weli loosened with the hoe in dry weather. Fruit Department. —Press forward the planting of trees and bushes. Standard pears, apples, cherries, plum.) __c, should receive their final autumn pruning, removing the shoots from the interior of the head, and all badly misplaced side-shoots, that a free current of air may be admitted. Prune and nail up or tie in the shoots of wall and espalier trees. Insert, cuttings of currants and gooseberries, removing all buds on the cuttings except the upper three. Long clean stems should always be the choice for fruit-bearing bushes of all descriptions. Flower Department. —Trim all flower edgings ; lift and re-plant if necessary. Gravel walks ; lay turf; remove all decayed leaves from shrub-clumps, Plant ornamental hedges of laurel, holly, English yew-tree,- tree-box, eurebia, privet, pittosporum, clianthus, &c. Remove all dead flower-stalks from plants* manure and dig over flower-plots, borders, and all vacant ground. Air freely in fine weather the cutting frames, removing all decayed leaves from the plants, to prevent damping. Pot cuttings, and re-shift plants.
