•Messrs MACLBiJr Brothe*rs report for tbe week (jruiing February 27, as follows :— Fat Cattle: — 103 head of fair quality came forward for the week's supply, but on account of tile trade hayiug large. supplies on hand from the previous week, there was little dereand even afc f very low prices,; consequently 40 head hati to he \ h'eloj-tvqr. Best bullocks brought from £•* 10s N to §10; (medium (light), £6 10- to £7— or equal to 25s per 1001 b for prime quality, aud 20* to 22s 6d for medium. At above quotations we sold 20 head.-:,- ■•'•"•■ :A Fat Calves.— Only four penned, which sold at full rates. Fat Sheep.-— IO9S medium" to good were penned, ior which there was fair competition at about last week's rates. Best cross-breds brought 9s to 10s ; 'medium, 7s 6d to 8s 9d; a small draft of merinos brought 8s 3d. Fat Lambs.— About 600 of these were penned, and sold at a reduction of about 2s under last week's rates. Best quality "brought 7s to 8s ; medium. 5s to 6s : at above rates we sold 150. . Store Cattle.— T^© have no transactions to report. "We would direct attention to a sale at Balclutha on 15th instant. Store Sheep are offering in limited numbers, -while the demand is active, and buyers have difficulty in supplying their requirements. •Quotations - are , without material change,, but young merino ewes and wethers may be placed a shade higher. During the week we liave sold 10,500, of all descriptions, and we have several transactions pending. Station Property, etc., — We bos* to report having sold the Waipori Station, 1500 acres f reehol'l and 12,000 acres leasehold, with 13,000 mixed sheep and Jambs, and 200 head of cattle; also, the Waipori Farm, 555 acres freehold, with stock, implements, &c, on account of Messrs L Cable and Drummond, to Charles Turnbull. Esq., v at a satisfactory figure. Waihola Park, offered yesterday, was withdrawn, .but. we are now in . trieaty for ita sale by private contract. • C6un,tfy. ISales.--On the -26th inst. wo held -a sale at Sandymount, of dairy, cattle, , horses. &c. The attendance was^not large, and bidding was devoid of spirit. Cows of good quality ; brought from L7 los to L 9; mixed sheep, 8s 3d each. . Wool.— We held., our sixth salo of the season on Friday* afternoon. 22ud inst.
