Bullocks "brought from £7 15s to £12 17s 6d ; cows from £6 103 to £10— prices equal to 27s 6d per liiOib for prime, and 22s 6d for medium luality. Privately wo sold 39 head at equal to 5s per 1001 b. Fat Calves. — 18 were yarded, and sold at from ' '3 to nos each. "We sold several small, lots, medium to good at from L 24 to L 27 10s per ton ; and quite prime mutton, at from L*29 to •-L3O ; medium, L 26 to L2B ; rough fat, L2O to L2l. , Grain. — "We have no change to report in wheat, none of the new crop being in the market yet. The crops are looking well, although the yield is expected to be light on the average. At present it is difficult to say what prices will open at. fats are in good demand. We quote old, good feed, 3s 4d to 3s 5d per bushel ; milling, 33 tsd ; new have been sold at 3s. Barley wanted, but little of the new Crop offered yet ; old, feed and 'milling sample, saleable at from 3s to 3s 6d. Messrs Maclean Brothers report : —At "Wairuna, on Friday the Bth inst., we held aclearauce sale of stock on account of George Steele, Esq. There was a large attendance of buyers, and all the stock submitted was disposed of at satisfactory prices. 100 pure Leicester ews sold at from 37s 6d to L 3 5s each ; do Leicester rams at from £3 to £7; cattle at from L 4 to L 7 ; horses at L 35 to L4B each.
