BALCLUTHA. January 9, 1878. (Before E. H. Carew, Esq., R.M.) Deans v. M'Kenzie.— lnformation for shooting native game, to wit, oae duck, on Dec. 25. the season for shooting being then closed. Mr Henderson, for defendant, pleaded guilty, and defendant was fined 20s, and costs of Court 6s od, half the fine to go to Mr Deans, who said he would give it to the Acclimatisation Society . Money; L 2 ss; costs of Court, 9s ; and professional fee, 10s (3d. Mr Henderson for plaintiff. — Grigor, Stewart, and Co. v. Taylor ; L 2 14s ; costs of Court, 9s ; and professional fee, 10s 6d. Mr Henderson for plaintiffs.—Same v. Anderson and Robertson ; L 2 8s ld ; costs of Court. 9s ; and professional fee, 10s fid. Mr Henderson for plaintiffs. Keenan v. M'Keog. — L 5. Mr Taylor, for plaintiff, applied to withdraw the case, which was granted. - Moxhay and Co. v. Shand.— L9, on a judgment surrmons. Mr Henderson for plaintiffs, who admitted having received L 4 10s on account. Plaintiff was ordered to pay the remainder with lis costs within six weeks, or go to gaol for ten days. Mr Henderson, for Mrs Colvin, applied for a married woman's property pi'otection order. After reading the application and looking into the Acts, bis Worship thought the better way was to lay an information and proceed by summons, which was done, the summons being made returnable for next GV-urt day. Mr Henderson stated the course he had adopted Avas that usually followed iv the Resident Magistrate's Court in Duuedin aad by the late Resident Magistrate here, Mr Maitland.
