Joseph Higgins, an old resident at Canada Reef, was accidentally killed on Thursday evening by a fall 'of earth, while working in a tunnel. About two tons of earth foil, striking him on tho head and killing him instantaneously. An inquest -was held by Mr Carew and a jury on Saturday, when a verdict of accidental death was returned.
