The annual meeting of the Clutha Caledonian Society was held in the Newmarket Hotel on Monday evening. There was a large attendance, and Mr John Dunne, President of the Society, occupied the chair. The Chairman then said ihe next business was the election of officebearers for the ensuing year, and he took that opportunity of explaining that it was not his intention to seek re-elec-tion, as he considered the office of President should be a rolling one, He therefore resigned the office.
