Store Cattle. —A fair demand is springing up for quiet cattle for paddock grazing, loifc buyers are very unwilling to give the prices whicli have been ruling- the last two seasons, owing to tlie continued low rates for beef Th'-re will, however, bi* a }*iv-i« number required for paddocks on the Molyneux, Taieri, ami Oamaru districts, and wo believe fair prices will be obtained. "Wool. —A private telegram received during the week reports tho Home market unchanged, and arrivals tip to date at 85.000 bales. After -v review of the catalogues and account sal.. I**1 ** to haiid by last mail, growers have generally reason to be gratified with the results. The demand for combing wool seems to have been good, and ins some instances i*e;dly good prices obtained, and although we <lo not anticipate •• decline lor next series, wo see no reason to hold out hope for any material improvement. -.heeprfkius. — Our weekly salo or. Monday last was well patronised by the trade, and a large catalogue of al-out 2500 skins- of very good quality was offered for salo ; and prices, on account of tho still eagor competition, ruled quite as high, nnd in some few instances higher, than last week, and buyers seemed very willing to operate even at the enhanced prices. Hides. —Tha supply, though small, seems fully equal to the demand, and where we cannot chronicle any more firmness, thero is at least no diminution in value, which still rules up to last quol-f-fions. Tallow. — The market is duller thio wo bave sp'-n .it for somv time past, and this is partly attributable to the news from Home and the scarcity of means of shipment ; but when thp wool season commences wo hope to see more animation, as freights will thou be cheaper. Wt_I sold medium quality at £31 10s ; rough fat, 225. j Grain. — Thuro is absolutely nothing of any importance doing, aud our quotations are merely nominal.
