Ranger II ugh an reported on Mr A. Johnstone's application for leases, under section 54, sub-section 5 of the Act, for section 1, block 1, Chattoii, and. section 1, block 2, Waikaka; also on Mr W. Johnstone's application for section 2, block 1, Chatton. — L-.ases to issue. _ Mr W. Wiiite applied for a license for lignite area of two acres on section 18, block 1, Waikaka. ---Referrad to Ranger for report. The Secretary for Crown Lands wrote intimating that Mr Driver's application on behalf of Messrs Cameron, l.utement, Lawton, and Gardiner, for surrender of run licenses, cannot be entertained. — Read. The Chief Commissioner laid before tho Board for cancellation, deferred payment licenses for section I G, block 4, Waikaka, said licensees having failed to execute their licenses in accordance with section D2b of the Act.
