A disastrous fire occurred at Townsville,.Quensland, on Saturday. ' A large number of buildings are destroyed," including the National. Bank premises. The estimated damage, amounts to £25,000.
. Melbourne, September 29. The Tararua, which left for New Zealand on Wednesday, returned this morning in iow of the Claud Hamilton, having broken down.
