(Reider's 'telegfarhs to JPress Agency.) London , September 3. Mehehiet Ali attacked' the Russians in force on the SOfch at Papaskoi, and drove them back beyond the- river Lorn with heavy loss. Osman Pasha attacked the Russians on the 31st in front of Plevna, and captured several Russian positions commanding the road to Loftcha. The Chipka situation remains xmchanged.
Bombay, September 4. Thiers has died of apoplexy. Sulieman Pasha telegraphs that he has been strongly reinforced. He commands the road leading to Gabaova, and has dis* lodged the 'enemy near Yeehilagie. September B. the 'Turks have evacuated Sukum Khale. The Russians have captured Lovatz. The Daily News says the Russians were victorious at Plevna on the 31st tilt. The Turkish loss was 2000.
