4> At Wednesday's meeting of the Wasto Lands Board the following report was read : — Survey Office, Dunedin, J uly 25th, 1377. To the Commissioner of Crown Lands-). Deferred Payment Land at Mabuur-t Kiver, The survey of this land is all completed now, and 1 have sent you maps of biuuk K. uud XI., Chatr.ou district, being portions of OKapua Hundred, and map of block L, Utaina district/wittim tho Pyramid Hundred. Sco several tracings attached, whore tho Pyramid, Wendou, and Okapua Hundreds are tinged brown— total acreage, 28,900 acres. As to the quality of the land, all that along the Mataura River is suitable igv deferiecl payments, excepting about iiOOO acres rough country at tho Pyramid, whioh might advantageously bo Bold. The deterred payment land is in 200 -acre sections or thereby, and tbe rou^h laud round Pyramid Hill above referred to is ih larger sections— ifc' is in block HI. . . Valuation of improvements of sections wilt bo sent you forthwith aud maps pf' remaining" b'lpcka which are being prepared for tho Land OlHce.
