Messrs Maclean Bbotheks report for the Week ending July -Ifch, as follows : — Fat Cattle. —Only 107 head were yarded for to-day's market, which were chiefly medium quality, a few pens, howevc.*, being prime. This supply being short of requirements, best quality brought 30s per 1001 b, or 2s Gd over last week's rates • but for inferior and medium there was no noticeable 'advance. Bullocks brought from L 7 to Ll3 12s Gfl ; cows from LG to L 9 10s.. At the yards we sold 4S head on account oi Messrs Wallace, Miller, Marshall, and Leary. Fat Sheep. — An unusually small supply of 1148 ouly was penned, and in consequence prices improved to the extent of Is to Is 6d pet shoep^ cross-breds fetching from 9s 6d to 13s 9d £ merinos, 6s 9d eaoh — or equal to 2hd per lb for prime quality. We sold 500 at yards on account of Messrs J. and S. Wilson, Wilson and Patrick, and have placed 600 privately, Stove Cuttle. — During the week we have placed 70 head at L 3 10s to L 7, according tc ago and description. Store Sheep. — Young merinos and cross-breds are still in request, with but few offering, and these only in small lots, aud chiefly inferior. Wd have sold during the week 2700 at from 2s to 3a for old merinos, and 6s 9d to Ss 3d for young merinos and cross-breds. Country Sales.— At Port Molyneux, oil 2sbh tilt., we sold, on account of Mr Burn, sec/foil and houso at L115•5 5• furniture and sundries Ah satisfactory prices * cows at L 6 to L 9 7s 6d ; bullocks at up to LS ; yearlings at up to Li. At yards, Bsilelutha, on 2flth uit., on account of Messrs Telford, Henderson, Moir, Lamond' M'LoualdJ and Wright, we sold 700 merino, and cross- bred sheep at prices ranging from 6s 9d .to 8s 3d, and 30 head store cattle at L 4 15s to L 6 10s ; horses at LIS to LIS 10s. Sheepskins. — Wo had only a fo\V lots dry skins for sale on Monday, and prices were firm. Grt_en skins brought very full rates, say from 3s 6(1 to 4s 2d for cross-breds, aud 2s Cd to 3s for mei'iuos**. Grain. — Prime wheat is still much wanted-, and in very short supply, aud commands Up to 7s 9d per bushel ; ordinary 6s 6d to 7s 3d. Oata are in easier request, and sales cannot be effected at late quotations ,* still, as stocks are light, holders refuse to make any coiicession in values. Wo quote good feed nominally at 3s 3d * milling, 3s) 6'd. Barley continues dull of sale, and transactions during the week havo been unimportant* Quotations unchanged.
