Wairuna School.
The annual statutory meeting for election of School Committee was held iii Wairuna Schoolhouse on Monday evening. Mr John Moffat having been voted to the chair, the following were appointed to serve on the Committee for the ensuing year :— Messrs Wm. M'G. Murray (Chairman), John Moffat, George Divers,' R. Melrose, James Roy,- H. Lister, and Thos. Taylor (Secretary and Treasurer). A vote; of thanks' was passed by the meeting to J. W- Thomson, -Esq. ,*M.H.R.-, for services rendered as Secretary during the past year, ancl on the motion of Mr -Murray, a vote of thanks was passed toMrF. G. Odell, the teacher, for the able and satisfactory manner in which, he had conducted the school during the. past nine months.
