Nominations for Clutha Flying Railway and Publicans Handicaps, to be made to the Secretary, at the Newmarket Hotel, on Tuesday, 4th April, at 8 o'clock p.m. . Weights declared and published in l Evening Star ' of the 7th, and < Daily Times ' of the Bth April. Acceptances received on 11th, April, being night of general entry. Publican's Railway and Novel Handicaps will be declared at the Crown Hotel, on night of first clays races, at 8 •"-"o'clock. Settling' night will take place at Mr •"Lloyd's, Farmers Arnfs Hotel, on the Tsth, at 8 o'clock.
All entries or acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, 'sweepstake, 'description and age- of horses, and colors to. be worn by the . jockey. A penalty of £2 will be enforced for riding in wrong colors. The new rules and. weights of the Dunedin Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to, unless when otherwise specified Mares and geldings allowed 31b.
