A DENIAL.

(To the Editor of Clutha Leader.) Sir— The 'Witness' of to-day has the following in its report of the sitting of the Education Board, on the 12th inst.;— *' WAREPA. "Application for another teacher— at-, tendance being 39. Declined." I bfg to say such is not a fair representation of a letter of mine addressed to, the Board on 30th May last, which- contained not, an, application, but a suggestion, having reference not to my school particularly, but to school generally, quite apart from any increase of teaching power, so, far* as this ; school is concerned. I. am thankful to pay I feel perfectly competent to manage my young hopefuls single banded, and certainly have never wished "for another teacher.";— l am, etc., T. : H. Mbbkino. Schoolhonse, Warepa, July 17, 1875.
