It was also agreed unanimously that the As.«ocia tion should hold its annual general meeting on the fir*t We dne.*dty in September, m each year; the financial year to com mence on the 1-t Octoher and end on the 30 h September succeeding. It waß fur •her arranetd that in the event of an • xhibitor of stock or produce at any of tht Society's n<eetin»p makins false representations such exhibitor should forfeit any prize thereby obtained, and be dt barred from competing at any of the shows, and also forf- it all the privileges of membt-r-, ship. A long di-icuoeinn took place on the motion of Mr Rii-hardson— That the Committee be empowed to borrow for the current year a sum not exceeding Ll per bead of the members ; the total number of members at present on the books being 128. The motion, which was "seconded by Mr Turnbuli, was eventually carried. It was also arranged that the borrowing powers oi the Committee should be fixtd each year by the annual meeting. Mr TurnHull (of the Bank of New Zealand) and Mr Fletcher were elected auditor* for the ensuing year. On tne motion of Mr Ande'son it was agree! that, the fist e h bit'on be he d ar \V\ndnam on the 25th of M*rch ol the prtsent year. An opi- ion prevailed that if the fhow was fix- d for an earlier date it would interfere «i'h the seaso >al operations to such an extent that the interes'B of the Society would be prejudiced. The meeting then a< journed to the first Wednesday in September, 1876. A Committee meeting was afterward? heW, for the purpose of drawing up a p'o«rnmme for the forthcoming show, and to decide as to the precise locality at which the exhibition should be held. Our correspondent adds: — A great deal of interect appears to be taken by the settlers in the prospects of the Association, which is but yet in i's infancy. Tht manner in which the bu-iness was transacted was highly commendable, and contrasts favourably with the meetings ht Id in pome of our more pretentious ct-ntres. Long may this state ol affairs continue to exist — a hope we hive very much pleasure indeed in endnrs'ne.
