Henry Driver, reports:— l have a large number of orders for young- merino sheep of every description ; but, as there is little disposition on the part of flockowners to part wi.h this'class of sheep, little business will be done unless considerably higher prices are paid this season than have ruled during the last two or three years. On Tuesday, 12th instant, Macleau Bros, held a sale of l:w head of stores at J innert Farm, North Taicri, which were disposed of at the following prices, viz, -—Steers £0 Lib to £S ; heifers, £4 Ids to £5 : mixed lots, £-i 17s to £i, which they quote as present vlauefor good stores.
