A. paragraphist says it is related of Jonah that when he took up lodgings in the whale's belly he wrote home to his father to come down immediately, as he had discovered a splendid opening for the oil business. The next day he telegraphed to the old gentleman •as follows:—"Father, don't come; I'm badly sucked; plenty of oil, but no market.!" . ~ " .
